EUROPE / PREP BRIEF

Decathlon Marketplace

Decathlon Marketplace
Prepared in China.

Prepare sports inventory in China for the seller’s accepted UK or EU stock operation, with the fulfillment route confirmed first.

Identify the operating model.

Decathlon’s UK seller page describes invitation-only selection and separate UK and EU stock requirements. Another official seller page advertises Fulfilment By Decathlon. Marketplace approval and fulfillment-service acceptance are separate confirmations; China preparation should feed the seller’s approved operation.

Connect the stock stages.

  1. 01

    Confirm the stock operation

Identify the accepted country, local stock location and seller-dispatch or Fulfilment By Decathlon arrangement. Obtain the actual operator’s intake packet before allocating supplier inventory.

  2. 02

    Map the sports article

Reconcile size, color, handedness and model variants. For equipment sets, agree the component list and distinguish new, ex-demo and reconditioned allocations where relevant.

  3. 03

    Approve protection and labels

Agree garment bagging, footwear pairing, protection for exposed frames or racket heads and the seller’s label files. Record batteries or other handling concerns for route acceptance.

  4. 04

    Release the replenishment batch

Match finished quantities, carton measurements and intake references. Confirm importer and receiving responsibilities, then pass the stock record to the approved dispatch operator.

Approve the preparation records.

Resolve the exception.

Planning example: A bicycle accessory kit contains the correct frame attachment but the wrong fixing set. Hold the kit, photograph the mismatch and obtain the seller’s completion or reallocation decision before adding it to the destination batch.

This illustrates a stock decision and is not a customer case or a platform penalty claim.

Plan returns and stock withdrawal.

Use the relevant seller’s marketplace return policy and accepted receiving route. Keep size exchanges, incomplete equipment and reconditioned articles distinguishable. Agree inspection and disposition before restocking; the receiving address and any bulky collection require shipment-specific acceptance.

Confirm destination acceptance, handling restrictions and the return receiving address for the actual product and shipment before anything moves.

Prepare the shipment brief.

Discuss the scope directly with the team. Receiving, preparation, freight and any destination work are confirmed for the product and route.

When the shipment needs a bulky-goods handover.

Link the complete unit with its packed cartons and agree receiving access and unloading before dispatch.
