GLOBAL PROGRAM / PREP BRIEF
Amazon FBAChina prep for Amazon FBA: confirm seller-role barcode requirements, scan finished units and reconcile carton labels before dispatch.
THE CHINA WORK TO AGREE
Useful when a new FBA batch needs its approved labeling method and carton files reconciled, especially when the same China stock also feeds another sales channel.

Agree the China checks and accepted prep tasks. Keep the FBA quantity and active file version separate from other channel allocations before release.
MyChinaWarehousing focuses on Amazon-oriented China warehousing and prep. SinoWarehousing connects the FBA batch with a wider marketplace, retail or DTC stock plan. Read about the company service brands.
Platform names describe seller workflows. China handling and destination arrangements require acceptance for your stock; your team provides and approves the current selling-program files.
Confirm the seller role, SKU and eligible barcode method in the account. Match the physical variant to the final seller-approved label file.
Assess bags, sealing, fragile protection and sellable sets. Scan the finished unit after its final wrapping or packaging.
Match quantities, carton contents and carton labels to the shipping plan. An Amazon unit barcode does not replace a shipment carton label.
Check the destination, routing instructions and appointment responsibility before dispatch. Hold mismatched units for a seller-approved correction.
For US FBA, Amazon ended prep and item labeling services for new shipments on January 1, 2026. Arrange the required preparation and labels before dispatch.
US barcode requirements changed on March 31, 2026. Resellers, including authorized resellers, need Amazon barcodes for new FBA shipments even when a manufacturer barcode is present.
| Seller and product | Barcode decision to confirm |
|---|---|
| Reseller, including authorized reseller | Obtain the correct Amazon unit labels for the new shipment and match each label to the approved SKU and physical variant. |
| Brand Representative with eligible products | Manufacturer barcodes may be used for new-condition products with one scannable UPC, EAN or ISBN matching one ASIN, linked to a Brand Registry brand for which the seller holds the Brand Representative role. Verify product eligibility in the account. |
| GTIN-exempt product or no manufacturer barcode | Amazon unit barcodes are still required. A GTIN exemption does not remove the labeling requirement. |
When applying an Amazon unit barcode, cover other visible product barcodes while preserving serial-number barcodes and Transparency authentication codes. Check the decoded value and scan access after all prep is complete.
The FAQ requires no blanket relabeling of stickerless inventory already in transit to or stored in FBA before March 31, 2026. For resellers, new shipments created after that date need Amazon barcodes. Keep the existing-stock transition separate from the new shipment plan.
Example: a reseller’s new batch arrives with only UPCs. Hold labeling and release until the approved Amazon unit-label files are matched to the stock. The seller owns catalog setup and the shipment plan.
Keep barcode files separate across channelsUS guidance reviewed 6 October 2026. Other Amazon marketplaces and product categories need their own current instructions; confirm acceptance before each shipment.
