SOUTH ASIA / INDIA / PREP BRIEF
MeeshoMeesho
Prepared in China.
Prepare China replenishment for an accepted Meesho seller's India stock location, distinguishing supplier cartons from locally packed customer orders.
Identify the operating model.
Meesho's public seller guide describes orders packed by the seller and collected at its registered pickup address by logistics partners. Registration uses an active bank account and GSTIN for GST sellers or Enrolment ID / UIN for non-GST sellers. The guide distinguishes India-wide delivery for GST sellers from within-state delivery for non-GST sellers; it does not establish a platform stock-storage service.
Connect the stock stages.
- 01
Confirm the seller operation
Obtain the accepted account's fiscal category, delivery scope and India pickup location. Confirm importer and replenishment receiver; public onboarding descriptions do not establish overseas seller admission.
- 02
Reconcile catalog and stock
Match supplier units, sizes, colors and accessories with the seller's approved catalog. Meesho directs sellers to its Supplier Panel policies; request current product and handling acceptance rather than relying on a category's presence in marketing pages.
- 03
Approve upstream receiving
Obtain carton instructions and batch acceptance. Ask the seller's fiscal operator to approve applicable product declarations and sales-invoice records. Keep import and supplier documents distinguishable from customer-order documents.
- 04
Connect local pickup evidence
Record replenishment contents and measurements. Meesho's guide describes downloading customer-order labels and manifests, packing and partner handover; the executing India operator supplies those current files.
Approve the preparation records.
| Control point | Seller file or confirmation | China preparation decision |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery scope | Accepted account category and current enabled destinations | Check each order against the seller's actual scope before local dispatch. |
| Pickup origin | Registered India pickup and stock-location record | Do not allocate China-held units as ready stock at the local pickup point. |
| Parcel identity | Order variant, current label and manifest | Keep customer parcels distinct from supplier replenishment cartons. |
Resolve the exception.
Planning example: In a hypothetical order allocation, a non-GST seller's file includes a destination outside its accepted state scope. Hold that order and request seller confirmation before selecting a dispatch route.
This illustrates a stock decision and is not a customer case or a platform penalty claim.
Plan returns and stock withdrawal.
Request current buyer-return and return-to-origin instructions, an accepted India receiver and evidence requirements. Match received units to order, variant and condition before disposition. Rejected replenishment and shipment back to China require separate acceptance; a pickup address alone does not authorize return receipt.
Confirm destination acceptance, handling restrictions and the return receiving address for the actual product and shipment before anything moves.

Prepare the shipment brief.
- Accepted account, fiscal category and enabled delivery scope
- India receiver, importer and registered local pickup location
- Catalog variants, quantities and seller-approved product records
- Current order files, fiscal references and authorized return instructions
Discuss the scope directly with the team. Receiving, preparation, freight and any destination work are confirmed for the product and route.
