SOUTH ASIA / INDIA / PREP BRIEF

Flipkart

Flipkart
Prepared in China.

Prepare China supplier stock for an accepted India operation, separating Fulfilment by Flipkart replenishment from seller-held stock and its local order dispatch.

Identify the operating model.

Flipkart's India seller guide distinguishes FBF, where Flipkart stores and packs stock, from NFBF, where the seller stores and packs before partner pickup. Its seller terms request GSTIN, PAN, pickup and bank details, and assign correct customer invoices to the seller. These public descriptions do not establish overseas seller admission or a China-direct dispatch route.

Connect the stock stages.

  1. 01

    Confirm the accepted operation

Obtain current seller and fulfillment instructions, India receiver and importer responsibility. Confirm product and destination acceptance before allocating stock.

  2. 02

    Separate replenishment from orders

For FBF, request the assigned inbound packet and receiving approval. For NFBF, identify the seller's stock location and local pickup operator. Keep each allocation distinguishable during supplier consolidation.

  3. 03

    Reconcile products and records

Match variants, quantities, accessories and country-of-origin information to seller-approved product records. Ask the responsible seller team to approve importer declarations and applicable fiscal documents; physical preparation does not establish their validity.

  4. 04

    Release the approved batch

Record final carton measurements, contents and labels against the accepted receiver. Local NFBF customer parcels need their own current order invoice, shipping label and handover evidence after replenishment arrives.

Approve the preparation records.

Resolve the exception.

Planning example: In a hypothetical batch, a supplier applies NFBF customer labels to cartons allocated to FBF replenishment. Hold release, reconcile quantities and obtain the correct accepted inbound packet.

This illustrates a stock decision and is not a customer case or a platform penalty claim.

Plan returns and stock withdrawal.

Flipkart's public comparison says it manages customer returns for both FBF and NFBF. Confirm the seller's enabled return instructions and actual receiving address for the order. Separate buyer returns from rejected inbound stock or inventory removal; record unit condition and accessories before requesting the seller's disposition decision.

Confirm destination acceptance, handling restrictions and the return receiving address for the actual product and shipment before anything moves.
